Idaho minimum wage shall conform to and track with the federal minimum wage, with exemptions also conforming to and tracking with federal minimum wage law exemptions.

Tipped employees must receive a minimum of $3.35 per hour in direct wages from employers, with tips making up the difference to meet minimum wage requirements; employers bear the burden of demonstrating tips actually received.

Employers may pay employees under 20 years of age $4.25 per hour during their first 90 consecutive calendar days of employment, but cannot displace existing employees to hire at this lower rate.

Seasonal employees of nonprofit camping programs, children under 16 working part-time, and employees of amusement/recreational establishments or educational conference centers operating 7 months or less per year are exempt from minimum wage requirements.

Agricultural employees under specified conditions are exempt, including family members, harvest laborers paid on piece-rate basis meeting regional standards, and employees engaged in range livestock production.
