HB 3 Summary

• Removes benzylfentanyl and thenylfentanyl from Schedule I controlled substances by striking the "temporary listing of substances subject to emergency scheduling" section.

• Adds Tapentadol to the Schedule II list of opiates and opium derivatives that are controlled substances.

• Maintains all other Schedule I controlled substance listings including opiates, opium derivatives, hallucinogenic substances, depressants, and stimulants.

• Maintains Schedule II listings for opiates, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogenic substances, and immediate precursors with no other substantive changes to those schedules.
