Seed buyers must pay producers the purchase price for seed crops in legal tender within 90 days of sale unless otherwise agreed to in writing

Seed buyers who make payments without sufficient funds or credit violate Idaho Code section 18-3106 and the seed crop payment requirements

Producers must file verified claims against seed buyers within 90 days from the date of failure notice or within the time limits of section 22-5125(1), whichever is later

Claims filed more than two years from the date of transfer are barred from payment from the Seed Indemnity Fund

Claims for seed crops used for lawns, turf, and land reclamation (bluegrass, ryegrass, native grasses, sagebrush, and other native and nonnative shrubs) may not exceed two years from the date of transfer or date of sale, whichever occurs later
