Allows persons holding an acupuncture trainee permit to practice acupuncture on a supervised, limited basis as prescribed by the board's rules and the permit.

Replaces acupuncture technician certificates with acupuncture trainee permits, with no new technician certificates issued after July 1, 2011, but existing certificate holders may retain and renew their certificates.

Requires trainee permits to expire one year from issuance, with the board authorized to renew for up to one additional year if good cause exists, but prohibits issuing more than one permit per person.

Authorizes the Board of Acupuncture to adopt rules requiring continuing education as a condition of continued licensure or certification.

Allows persons granted acupuncture trainee permits to use titles "certified acupuncturist," "acupuncture technician," or "acupuncture trainee," but prohibits use of "licensed acupuncturist" or "doctor" unless otherwise authorized.
