Amends Section 7-701, Idaho Code, to modify the uses for which the right of eminent domain may be exercised.

Requires any entity exercising eminent domain for electric distribution and transmission lines, except public utilities, cooperatives, or municipalities as defined in Section 61-332A, Idaho Code, to demonstrate that such use materially serves the interests of Idaho citizens.

Applies the demonstration requirement to entities seeking to exercise eminent domain for structures, facilities, and equipment for production, generation, and manufacture of electric current for power, lighting, heating, or other purposes.

Makes technical corrections to the numbering and format of subsections in the eminent domain statute.
