Amends Section 67-4703 of Idaho Code to remove certain provisions from the Department of Commerce powers and duties.

Removes the duties to "serve as a clearinghouse for information, data, and other materials which may be used in developing Idaho's economy" and to "collect and compile reliable economic data for general dissemination."

Retains core Department of Commerce functions including advertising Idaho's resources, surveying economic and physical resources, developing international marketing plans, and coordinating with local, state, federal and private agencies.

Maintains the Department's authority to contract with universities and consultants, enter interagency agreements, provide technical assistance, prepare economic development strategies, and petition for grants or gifts for planning and development activities.
