Amends Section 19-510A to empower classified employees designated by the State Board of Correction with peace officer rights and duties when transporting prisoners, apprehending escaped prisoners or wards, or arresting probation or parole violators.

Grants designated employees peace officer authority when present with and at the request of local, state, or federal law enforcement officers.

Amends Section 20-209C to authorize the State Board of Correction to designate other classified employees to act as peace officers under the same conditions specified in Section 19-510A.

Employees who receive formal peace officer certification from the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training Council retain full statutory peace officer authority.

Limits expanded peace officer authority for non-certified employees to specific operational contexts: prisoner transport, apprehension of escaped individuals, arrest of probation or parole violators, and assistance at law enforcement request.
