Lowers the minimum age for firearm possession from twelve to ten years old for children hunting in Idaho fields and forests.

Allows children under age ten with a valid hunting license to possess firearms for hunting, provided they are accompanied by an adult licensed to hunt in Idaho.

Permits children under age ten who are participants in a mentored hunting program (as prescribed by commission rules) to possess firearms for hunting while accompanied by a licensed adult.

Maintains the prohibition on discharging firearms from or across public highways.

Continues to prohibit firearm possession by children in tents, camps, vehicles, or other structures unless they hold a valid hunting license or are in an approved mentored hunting program.
