Adds Section 36-1106 to Idaho Code requiring trappers to visit and check all snares and traps for furbearing animals, predatory wildlife, and unprotected wildlife once every 36 hours and remove any catch.

Exempts pocket gophers, specific ground squirrel species designated by commission rule, and other unprotected rodents from the 36-hour checking requirement.

Exempts trappers acting under authority of the United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (Wildlife Services) from the checking requirement.
