Amends Section 37-2730A, Idaho Code, to clarify that pharmacists and practitioners may furnish information to each other obtained pursuant to and in compliance with the prescription tracking program chapter.

The board maintains a prescription tracking program for controlled substances to identify illegal activity and assist patients, practitioners, and pharmacists in avoiding inappropriate use of controlled substances.

The board may release unsolicited information to pharmacists and practitioners when it may assist in preventing or avoiding inappropriate use of controlled substances.

Provides liability protection for the state of Idaho, the board, state agencies, and persons in proper possession of tracking program information, except in cases of malice, criminal intent, gross negligence, or reckless and willful conduct.

Allows the board to apply for grants and accept gifts or donations to develop and maintain the prescription tracking program.
