Board of Nursing Home Administrators may impose a fine of up to $1,000 upon a licensee for each violation of section 54-1612(1), Idaho Code.

Board may order licensees to pay costs and fees incurred by the board in investigating and prosecuting violations of section 54-1612(1), Idaho Code.

Violations subject to fines include: licensee being unfit to operate a nursing home, willfully or repeatedly violating provisions of the nursing home administration chapter, or engaging in fraud or deceit in practice.

Board or designated hearing officer has jurisdiction to hear charges against nursing home administrators and may revoke licenses, suspend practice, reprimand, censure, or otherwise discipline licensees upon finding guilt.

Proceedings must be initiated by written charges under oath or by board motion and conducted pursuant to chapter 52, title 67, Idaho Code, unless the board dismisses charges as unfounded or trivial.
