Amends Idaho Code Section 18-915 to expand the list of protected personnel subject to enhanced assault and battery penalties, including healthcare providers, emergency medical services personnel, and employees of the state tax commission.

Establishes that battery with intent to commit a serious felony against protected personnel carries imprisonment up to 25 years, while other crimes against these individuals carry doubled penalties.

Creates a felony offense punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment for simple assault or battery (Sections 18-901 or 18-903) against judges, magistrates, jailers, correctional officers, and juvenile detention facility staff, with sentences served consecutively to any current sentences.

Creates a separate felony offense for simple battery (excluding unlawful touching) against peace officers, sheriffs, or police officers, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment with consecutive sentencing requirements.

Requires that the perpetrator know or have reason to know of the victim's protected status for enhanced penalties to apply.
