Expands dental coverage for pregnant women to include services that reflect evidence-based practice, beyond the previous limitation to medically necessary oral surgery and palliative services.

Extends evidence-based dental practice coverage to adults on the enhanced benefit plan, participants on the aged and disabled waiver, and participants on the developmental disability waiver.

Maintains existing coverage for children, which includes prevention, diagnosis and treatment services as defined in federal law.

Maintains existing limited coverage for other adults, restricted to medically necessary oral surgery, palliative services, and associated diagnostic services including exams, radiographs, periodontal, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
