Amends Section 65-502 of Idaho Code to revise the definition of "veteran" in employment preference laws.

Establishes that a veteran must have served on active duty for a minimum of 180 consecutive days to qualify as a veteran.

Defines "active duty" as full-time duty in the active military service of the United States, including full-time training duty, annual training duty, and attendance at service schools while in active military service.

Maintains existing veteran eligibility criteria based on service during specific time periods: wars, campaigns with authorized badges, April 28, 1952 to July 1, 1955, January 31, 1955 to October 15, 1976, and August 2, 1990 to January 2, 1992.

Clarifies that active duty does not include reserve or National Guard training duty unless the service otherwise qualifies under federal definitions in 5 U.S.C. section 2108.
