Professional and occupational licensing boards in Idaho's Department of Self-Governing Agencies may accept military education, training, or service toward licensure, certification, or registration qualifications for armed forces members, national guard, military reserves, or naval militia personnel.

Licensing boards are authorized to promulgate rules implementing provisions that allow military education and training to count toward professional licensing requirements.

Licensing boards may expedite applications for armed services members and their spouses who possess necessary education, qualifications, or licensure from another state, possession, commonwealth, or territory.

Expedited licensure, certification, or registration is available to military spouses holding valid credentials from other jurisdictions, addressing portability concerns for military families relocating to Idaho.

Each professional and occupational licensing board is authorized to create implementing rules for both the military education credit and expedited application processes.
