House Bill 360 Summary

• Removes the requirement of three (3) years of additional architectural internship experience for applicants who have graduated from an accredited architecture program and have already started their internship.

• Authorizes the board of architectural examiners to use examinations and grading procedures published by the national council of architectural registration boards.

• Adds five new grounds for discipline of licensed architects: violation of professional conduct rules, practicing without a license, having a license revoked or disciplined in another jurisdiction, failure to comply with board orders, and violation of building codes.

• Eliminates the requirement for architects to file sworn statements with the bureau of occupational licenses regarding firm names and membership changes.

• Revises architect seal requirements to allow rubber stamp and electronically applied seals in addition to manual application, and permits electronically produced documents for informational use to bear only the seal under specified conditions.

• Repeals Section 54-316 relating to foreign partnership and corporate practice of architecture.
