Revises the definition of "injection well" in Idaho Code Section 42-3902 to mean any feature operated to allow injection that meets at least one of four criteria: a bored, drilled or driven shaft deeper than its largest surface dimension; a dug hole deeper than its largest surface dimension; an improved sinkhole; or a subsurface fluid distribution system.

Excludes from the definition of "injection well" any well drilled for oil, gas, or geothermal production activities, except those into which diesel fuels are injected during hydraulic fracturing operations.

Removes the previous definition of "shallow injection well" and replaces it with a revised definition meaning an injection well with vertical depth of 18 feet or less below land surface.

Clarifies that "injection" excludes underground injection of natural gas for storage purposes and excludes underground injection of fluids or propping agents (other than diesel fuels) related to hydraulic fracturing operations for oil, gas, or geothermal production.
