Amends Idaho Code Section 49-1401 to establish inattentive driving as a lesser offense than reckless driving.

Inattentive driving applies when a driver operates a vehicle inattentively, carelessly, or imprudently with slight danger to persons or property, or when the driver has an untreated medical condition affecting driving ability.

Conviction for inattentive driving is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, a fine of up to $300, or both.

Reckless driving penalties remain unchanged: first offense up to 6 months jail and/or $1,000 fine; subsequent offense within 5 years up to 1 year jail and/or $2,000 fine with mandatory driver's license suspension.
