Repeals Idaho Code Sections 9-331, 9-331A, and 9-332 relating to county officials' methods of replacing documents and disposition of original county records.

Authorizes county officials to reproduce and retain documents in photographic, digital, or other nonpaper media, with the retained document deemed an original public record for all purposes.

Requires photographic film to meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) quality standards and digital media to provide reproduction on paper at a minimum resolution of 200 dots per inch.

Permits disposal or return of original paper documents once they are retained in approved nonpaper media format.

Mandates duplicate copies of all reproduced records, with one copy stored in a fire-resistant vault or off-site facility and the other maintained in the office with equipment to display and reproduce records at original size or larger.
