Amends Section 19-5101 of Idaho Code to revise definitions related to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.

Expands the definition of "peace officer" to include employees of federally recognized Indian tribe police or law enforcement agencies who have completed the peace officer standards and training academy and been deputized by an Idaho county sheriff or city chief of police.

Defines "county detention officer" as an employee in a county jail responsible for the safety, care, protection, and monitoring of county jail inmates.

Clarifies that "law enforcement" encompasses crime prevention, reduction, and enforcement activities including police, courts, prosecution, corrections, probation, rehabilitation, and juvenile delinquency.
