Increases civil penalty for governing body members who conduct or participate in meetings violating the Open Meeting Law from $250 to $250 (no change in subsection 2).

Increases civil penalty for knowingly violating the Open Meeting Law provisions to not exceed $1,500 (subsection 3).

Increases civil penalty for knowingly violating the Open Meeting Law with a prior violation within 12 months to not exceed $2,500 (subsection 4).

Allows public agencies 14 days to cure violations after self-recognition or receipt of written notice, with curing the violation serving as a bar to civil penalties.

Maintains existing enforcement provisions with Attorney General overseeing state agencies and county prosecutors overseeing local agencies, with private right of action for compliance but not for damages.
