Death penalty shall be inflicted by continuous intravenous administration of lethal substances approved by the Idaho Department of Correction director until death is pronounced by a coroner or deputy coroner.

Identities of individuals participating in or assisting with executions are confidential, including the onsite physician, department of correction staff, consultants, escort team members, and medical team members.

Information whose disclosure could jeopardize the department's ability to carry out executions is confidential, including the source of lethal substances.

Confidential execution information is privileged and not subject to discovery, subpoena, or other legal compulsion, notwithstanding any other law.

The act applies to all executions carried out on and after the effective date, regardless of when the sentence was imposed.
