Amends Idaho Code 18-2505 to classify escape or attempted escape from a juvenile detention facility as a felony when the person was 18 years of age or older at the time of the escape or attempted escape, subjecting them to adult criminal proceedings.

Amends Idaho Code 18-2506 to classify escape or attempted escape from a juvenile detention facility as a misdemeanor when the person was 18 years of age or older at the time of the escape, or as a felony if the escape involved threat, intimidation, force, violence, injury, or weapons, subjecting them to adult criminal proceedings.

Applies to persons charged with, found to have committed, adjudicated for, or on probation for offenses that would be felonies or misdemeanors if committed by an adult.

Expands existing escape provisions that previously applied only to juveniles proceeded against as adults under Idaho Code sections 20-508 or 20-509 to now also include any person who reaches 18 years of age while in custody.
