Recognizes and honors Gary Stevens, a native of Caldwell, Idaho, for his career and accomplishments in horse racing.

Gary Stevens won his first race at Les Bois Park in Boise at age 16 and achieved his 5,000th career victory in October 2005 at Belmont Park, placing him among only 20 jockeys to reach this milestone.

Stevens was inducted into the U.S. Racing Hall of Fame in 1997 at age 34, received the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award in 1996, and won the Eclipse Award as North America's Outstanding Jockey in 1998.

Stevens won three Kentucky Derbys, three Preakness Stakes, three Belmont Stakes, ten Breeders' Cup races, and a record nine Santa Anita Derbys, including the first Kentucky Derby won by a filly in 1988 on Winning Colors.

After retiring in 2005 to work as a racing analyst for NBC Sports and other networks, Stevens returned to racing in 2013 and won the Preakness Stakes at age 50, becoming the oldest jockey to win the race.
