Secretary of state shall create and maintain an online voter registration system on its official website available to electors with current valid Idaho driver's licenses or identification cards.

Online registration applications must require information under oath or affirmation, provide notice of identification requirements for voting, include an online signature, and be submitted before the registration deadline.

Secretary of state shall obtain digital copies of applicants' driver's license or identification card signatures from the Idaho transportation department for verification purposes.

County clerks shall send verification of registration by first-class nonforwardable mail to electronically registered electors and remove electors from the register if verification is returned undeliverable.

Applicants using the online registration system are not required to complete a printed registration card; the act becomes effective January 1, 2017.
