Commemorates pulse crops (lentils, beans, peas, and chickpeas) for singular recognition by the Idaho Legislature.

Idaho Pea and Lentil Commission established July 1, 1965, with a seven-person commission managing funds from assessments on dry peas, lentils, and chickpeas for research, marketing, government affairs, and education.

Idaho Bean Commission created in 1957 with an eight-member commission headquartered in Boise; combined with pea and lentil operations, Idaho plants almost 200,000 acres annually in these crops.

Identifies pulse crops as vital sources of plant-based proteins and amino acids that can address obesity and help prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes, coronary conditions, and cancer.

Recognizes the Idaho Pea and Lentil Commission and USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council for their work in promoting pulse crop recognition and bringing honor to Idaho, which is known as the "Pea and Lentil Capital of the World."
