Associated Logging Contractors of Idaho was organized and established in St. Maries, Idaho in 1966 to help members manage operational costs and address industry challenges.

Organization provides support and educational programs, insurance access, safety training, and compliance assistance to approximately 2,170 logging and wood-hauling professionals in Idaho.

Associated Logging Contractors' members helped write, implement, and support Idaho's Forest Practices Act, which protects water quality and ensures reforestation after harvest.

Each million board-feet of wood harvested provides 20 jobs in Idaho according to the University of Idaho College of Natural Resources.

Legislature recognizes and honors the Associated Logging Contractors of Idaho for 50 years of accomplishments and services to the state's rural communities and economy.
