City initiative and referendum elections shall be held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November in odd-numbered years.

Petitions must have signatures from at least 20% of qualified electors voting in the last general city election in November of an odd-numbered year.

Deadline for submitting signatures to the city clerk is 180 days after receiving the official ballot title or April 30 of the election year, whichever is earlier.

County clerk must verify signatures within 60 calendar days, with petitioners submitting to the county clerk no later than the close of business on May 1 of the election year or 180 days after receiving the ballot title, whichever is earlier.

Removes reference to chapter 5, title 50 from the initiative and referendum elections statute.
