Prohibits student instruction on four specific election dates each year: the third Tuesday in May, the Tuesday following the first Monday in November, the second Tuesday in March when a district election is scheduled, and the last Tuesday in August when a district election is scheduled.

Allows school staff activities to be scheduled on election days provided they do not require or encourage student presence on school grounds.

Permits school districts to use these election days to accommodate necessary staff development and administrative activities without reducing required instructional hours.

Establishes this prohibition to ensure student safety and provide suitable polling locations for local, state, and federal elections pursuant to Idaho Code section 34-106.

Takes effect on July 1, 2018.
