• Specifies that assessment tools for measuring student achievement may include Idaho standards achievement tests, student learning objectives, formative assessments, pre- and post-tests, performance-based assessments, Idaho reading indicator, college entrance exams, district-adopted assessments, end-of-course exams, advanced placement exams, and career technical exams.

• Clarifies that "performance criteria" are the standards instructional and pupil service staff must demonstrate for teaching proficiency at a given compensation rung, with each element reported for career ladder advancement.

• Makes technical corrections to Idaho Code section 33-1001 relating to education definitions.
