Department directors may grant classified employees recruitment or retention award pay upon completion of at least six (6) months of achieving performance standards.

The department director and administrator of the division of human resources are authorized to seek legal remedies, including deductions from an employee's accrued vacation funds, from employees who resign during the designated period after receiving a recruitment or retention bonus.

Departments must submit annual reports to the division of financial management and legislative services office by October 1 detailing all recruitment and retention awards granted in the preceding fiscal year.

The amendment makes technical corrections to Idaho Code Section 67-5309D regarding other pay delivery options for state employees.
