Repeals sections 33-1608 through 33-1611 of Idaho Code and replaces them with new sex education provisions

Defines sex education as the study of human reproduction anatomy and physiology, and the development of healthy relationships

Allows individual school districts to decide whether to include sex education in curriculum; if included, programs must be medically accurate and adhere to state health education content standards

Requires school districts to involve families and community groups in planning, development, evaluation, and revision of sex education instruction

Permits parents or legal guardians to excuse their child from sex education by filing a request with the school district, with alternative educational programs required for excused students
