Allows electrical inspectors to qualify with either four (4) years of experience as a journeyman electrician or as a master electrician, rather than journeyman experience alone

Requires inspectors to possess journeyman or master electrician licenses in Idaho prior to appointment, changing from previous certificate of competency requirement

Requires inspectors employed by the division of building safety to pass a general inspector's test approved by the educational testing service or another testing agency selected by the Idaho electrical board

Mandates inspectors participate in continuous education training as directed by the Idaho electrical board and administered by the division of building safety

Allows the Idaho electrical board to promulgate rules regarding applicability of testing and education requirements to existing electrical inspectors with permanent status
