Requires private land surveyors unable to obtain oral permission to provide written notice via registered or certified mail at least 10 days before entering the land, with confirmation of delivery required before entry.

Updates Sections 54-1231, 54-1232, and 54-1233 to apply existing damage assessment and cost recovery procedures to private surveying, allowing district courts to assess damages for property harm caused by surveyor entry.

Establishes that if assessed damages do not exceed the amount the surveyor tendered, the surveyor recovers court costs; otherwise the prevailing party recovers costs under standard court rules.
