• Amends Section 31-4602 to change terminology from "sheriff's department office" to "sheriff's office" in the context of county justice fund establishment and operation.

• Amends Section 49-443B to add "SO" (Sheriff's office) as a new license plate designator for vehicles belonging to a sheriff's office in the state vehicle and taxing district license plate program.

• Requires any vehicle with a license plate not complying with the new designator provisions to be reregistered within 60 days of the act's effective date, subject to a reregistration fee of $12.50.

• Exempts personalized and specialty license plates from the designator requirements.
