Amends Section 36-701, Idaho Code, to revise exceptions to the requirement for licenses or permits to hold captive wildlife in Idaho.

Clarifies that household pets including sugar gliders, African hedgehogs, and cold-blooded animals found within the pet trade may be held without a license or permit, provided such animals are not subject to import restrictions under state, county, or city laws.

Adds explicit language that traditional or internet-based pet stores do not require licenses or permits for displaying lawfully acquired wildlife for sale.

Maintains existing exemptions for municipal and county zoos, traveling circuses, bona fide pet stores, fur farms regulated under Title 25 Chapter 30, and domestic cervidae farms regulated under Title 25 Chapter 37.

Clarifies that exotic wildlife, domestic fur farms, tropical fish, and ornamental fish that do not pose a threat to native fish populations are exempt from chapter requirements except for inspection and record-keeping provisions.
