Idaho Department of Labor shall establish an apprenticeship skills program offering online assessments, training, certification, and career planning tools to evaluate foundational workplace and soft skills readiness for apprenticeship candidates

Assessments measure workplace readiness in applied mathematics, reading for information, and information locating, plus soft skills including punctuality, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving

Online training provides targeted foundational workplace and soft skills instruction to prepare individuals for apprenticeship enrollment

Department is authorized to contract with an external provider to create the assessments

Program services made available to any person seeking apprenticeship enrollment, with aggregate outcome data available for development of workforce development policies
