The Idaho Legislature congratulates the city of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County for preserving the historic Hotel Bonneville as the Bonneville Apartments.

Hotel Bonneville, named after Captain Bonneville who explored the region between 1832 and 1834, opened on June 1, 1927, at the northwest corner of "C" Street and Park Avenue in Idaho Falls.

The hotel was renovated from a state of disrepair through the efforts of the Idaho Falls Redevelopment Agency and The Housing Company using Historic Preservation Tax Credits and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.

The renovated building now serves as the Bonneville Apartments and stands as a central part of downtown Idaho Falls and its history under the leadership of Mayor Rebecca Casper and the Idaho Falls City Council.

The House Chief Clerk is directed to forward a copy of the concurrent resolution to the Governor of Idaho, Bonneville County commissioners, and the Mayor of Idaho Falls.
