School employees with a valid enhanced concealed carry license may carry concealed firearms on school property without board permission, provided they maintain immediate control and inform the principal and superintendent.

School employees who lawfully carry concealed firearms under this provision cannot be compelled to disclose possession or be subject to disciplinary action, retaliation, or adverse work conditions unless they violate Idaho firearms laws.

Information about which employees carry enhanced licenses must be kept confidential by principals, superintendents, and school boards and cannot be included in personnel files.

Schools are prohibited from displaying signage indicating school property is a gun-free zone, and no school employee can be required to carry a concealed weapon without consent.

Civil liability immunity is provided to schools and school employees for claims arising from lawful carrying, possession, use, or non-use of deadly weapons by employees without board consent under the enhanced license provisions.
