House Bill No. 9 Summary

• Adds sage grouse to the list of wildlife for which resident and nonresident game tags may be issued under Idaho Code Section 36-409.

• Establishes sage grouse tag fees at $4.00 for residents and $4.50 for nonresidents in the fee schedule under Section 36-416.

• Removes references to sage grouse permits from violation provisions in Section 36-1401 and replaces them with references to sage grouse tags.

• Consolidates sage grouse and sharp-tailed grouse hunting permit requirements into a single permit requirement as an infraction violation under Section 36-1401(a)2.(S).
