Art projects costing less than $10,000 require approval by a two-thirds majority vote of the governing body if composed of elected officials.

Art projects costing $10,000 or more require approval by a two-thirds majority vote of qualified electors at a general election held for that purpose.

Defines "public art" as visual art works including drawings, paintings, murals, sculptures, mosaics, photographs, and mixed media that are paid for with public tax dollars and displayed for public enjoyment.
