District board of health orders applying to all persons in a county or public health district must be approved by the board of county commissioners within seven days of issuance to take effect immediately.

County commissioners may approve orders for initial thirty-day periods, which may thereafter be extended, amended, or modified and reimposed for additional thirty-day periods, subject to continued county commissioner approval.

Violations of orders applicable to all persons in a county or public health district constitute an infraction punishable by a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) with no court costs or fees.

Misdemeanor violations of public health laws remain punishable by fines up to three hundred dollars ($300) and/or up to six months imprisonment, with violators also liable for enforcement expenses.
