County clerks must schedule visits to nursing facilities, assisted living centers, or similar residential facilities that request absentee voting assistance for residents who have applied for absentee ballots.

County clerk's authorized designees include trained nonpartisan volunteers or individuals appointed by the two largest political parties' county central committees, with party-appointed designees required to act in concert with each other.

Immediate family members of residents may assist residents in filling out absentee ballots at these facilities.

Any person assisting with absentee ballot completion is prohibited from advising, suggesting, requesting, or influencing the voter's choices, with violations constituting a misdemeanor.
