Marquee Ricks, a farmer from Newdale, Idaho, won the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation Discussion Meet in December 2020, qualifying her for the national competition held virtually January 10-13, 2021.

Ricks won first place in the American Farm Bureau Federation's national Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet, competing against young farmers and ranchers from across the United States.

The Discussion Meet competition simulates a committee meeting where participants are evaluated on their ability to constructively exchange ideas and information on predetermined topics.

Ford Motor Company awarded Ricks a 2021 Ford F-150 pickup truck as the grand prize for winning the national competition.

The Idaho Senate recognizes Ricks as a positive role model for young farmers, ranchers, and FFA students, commending her for demonstrating the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them.
