Prohibits mental health professionals from providing conversion therapy to patients or clients under 18 years of age.

Defines "conversion therapy" as any practice or treatment seeking to change sexual orientation or gender identity, including therapy to reduce behaviors, expressions, or attractions related to sexual orientation or gender identity.

Specifies that neutral mental health therapy, gender transition assistance, acceptance and support services, and discussions of moral or religious beliefs are not considered conversion therapy.

Establishes that violations constitute unprofessional conduct subject to disciplinary proceedings under Idaho Code Title 54.

Exempts clergy members and religious counselors acting in pastoral capacity and parents or grandparents acting in parental capacity from the prohibition.

Effective July 1, 2022.
