Adds subpoena authority to the Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) board for collection of benefit overpayments from financial institutions to determine if persons other than deceased retirees or beneficiaries have account access.

Subpoenas issued under this authority may be enforced by Ada county district courts, which have jurisdiction to hear parties, determine reasonableness, and set aside, modify, or enforce subpoenas.

Failure to obey a district court order enforcing a subpoena may be punished by the court as contempt.

Makes technical corrections to Section 59-1305, Idaho Code relating to board powers and indemnification provisions.

Effective date: July 1, 2022, with emergency clause.
