Adds juvenile detention officers, juvenile probation officers, and adult misdemeanor probation officers to the list of positions eligible for police officer member status under Idaho's Public Employee Retirement System.

These three position categories are designated under county law enforcement in Section 59-1303(3)(b) of Idaho Code.

Employees in these positions qualify for police officer retirement benefits during their appointment or term of office, subject to employer certification and board acceptance.

Employees whose positions are reclassified from police officer to general member status may have excess contributions refunded by the employer offsetting future contributions.

The act becomes effective on July 1, 2022, and is declared an emergency measure.
