House Bill 707 - Voter Registration Amendments

• Modifies electronic voter registration verification to allow county clerks to send verification by nonforwardable first-class mail or electronic mail at the elector's option, and requires removal from voter rolls if verification is returned undeliverable.

• Revises voter registration application requirements to specify that the full name must appear as it does in required documentation and clarifies that telephone number and email address information shall not be available to the public.

• Expands protected voter information by prohibiting public disclosure of voter's driver's license number, date of birth, telephone number, email address, and physical residence address (with exceptions for good cause including domestic violence protection).

• Makes technical corrections to Idaho Code sections regarding voter registration applications, armed forces voter protection, and public records exemptions.

• Declares an emergency and establishes an effective date of July 1, 2022.
