Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) assisting in refugee resettlement in Idaho must notify the governor, directors of labor and health and welfare departments, county commissioners, and city mayors on a quarterly basis of each refugee resettled in their jurisdiction.

Quarterly notifications must be submitted by April 15, July 15, October 15, and January 15 for the respective calendar quarters and include each refugee's age, sex, and country of origin.

NGOs must provide annual certification of compliance with notification requirements by the second Monday in April each year to the county where they claim tax exemptions.

NGOs failing to comply with notification requirements become ineligible for tax exemptions under Idaho Code Chapter 6, Title 63.

The bill defines "nongovernmental organization" to include corporations, partnerships, associations, and other entities, while excluding federal, state, and local government bodies.
