House Bill 783 - State Tax Commission Appropriation (FY 2023)

• Appropriates $49,377,000 to the State Tax Commission for fiscal year 2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023), distributed across General Services, Audit Division, Collection Division, Revenue Operations, and Property Tax divisions.

• Funding includes $35,520,500 for personnel costs, $13,529,000 for operating expenditures, and $327,500 for capital outlay from various sources including the General Fund, Multistate Tax Compact Fund, and ARPA State Fiscal Recovery Fund.

• Authorizes the State Tax Commission to employ no more than 446.00 full-time equivalent positions during the fiscal year, with any increases requiring specific Governor approval and notification to the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee.
